(EN)The invention relates to a method of monitoring an engine (2) of an aircraft, comprising the following steps: gathering in the course of time measurements on variables relating to a current engine (2) comprising a first set of measurements on endogenous variables and a second set of measurements on exogenous variables; standardizing the measurements relating to the endogenous variables by taking account of the measurements relating to the exogenous variables so as to form on each acquisition a point of entry representing a state of said current engine in a multidimensional space.
