(EN)A method of making a dry type insulation is provided. The method includes combining a base fiber having a first outer surface with a binder material wherein the base fiber has a first melting point and the binder material has a second melting point which is different from the first melting point, heating the base fiber and binder material to a temperature above the second melting point, but below the first melting point using a double-belt press to form a resultant dry type insulation, compressing the base fiber and binder material using the double-belt press to form the resultant dry type insulation and cooling the resultant dry type insulation using the double-belt press.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une isolation du type sèche. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à: combiner une fibre de base comportant une première surface extérieure avec une matière de liant, ladite fibre de base présentant un premier point de fusion et la matière de liant présentant un deuxième point de fusion, différent du premier; chauffer la fibre de base et la matière de liant à une température supérieure au deuxième point de fusion, mais inférieure au premier point de fusion, au moyen d'une presse à double bande, pour former une isolation du type sèche; comprimer la fibre de base et la matière de liant au moyen de la presse à double bande afin de former l'isolation du type sèche, et refroidir ladite isolation au moyen de la presse à double bande.
