(EN)The present invention describes a novel bivalent helically constrained peptide targeted against S100B that is an effective anti-cancer drug against cancers that over-express S100B. This helix mimetic targeted against S100B induces rapid apoptosis in cancer cells that over-express a calcium binding protein S100B through simultaneous inhibition of key growth pathways including activation of p53.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un nouveau peptide bivalent à contrainte hélicoïdale ciblant S100B et qui constitue un médicament anticancéreux efficace contre les cancers qui sur-expriment S100B. Ce mimétique d'hélice ciblant S100B induit une apoptose rapide dans les cellules cancéreuses qui sur-expriment une protéine de liaison du calcium S100B par inhibition simultanée des voies de croissance clés y compris l'activation de p53.
