Title (EN) METHOD FOR POSITIONING A GUIDE WIRE IN A CORPOREAL DUCT USING A CATHETER, AND CATHETER SUITABLE FOR SAID METHOD
(FR) PROCEDE DE MISE EN PLACE D'UN FIL-GUIDE DANS UN CANAL CORPOREL AU MOYEN D'UN CATHETER ET CATHETER ADAPTE POUR LE DIT PROCEDE
Abstract: front page image
(EN)The present invention relates to a method for positioning a guide wire in an intracorporeal duct using a catheter, and to a catheter for implementing said method. According to the invention, the method enables the positioning of a guide wire to replace or double up with a first guide wire already arranged in an intracorporeal duct using a catheter comprising only one inner channel (2) having a small diameter, and at least two side openings (5', 5", 6).
