Abstract

The present invention provides an ultrahigh molecular weight polyolefin fiber coated with a coating composition, wherein the coating composition contains a UV stabilizer, characterized in that the amount of UV stabilizer is between 2 wt% and 80 wt.% compared to the total weight of the coating composition based on solids. The UV absorber can be selected from the group consisting of hydroxybenzophenones, hydroxyphenylbenzotriazoles, oxalanilides, phenyl esters, benzooxazinones, cyanoacrylates, formamidine, benzylidene malonates and hydroxyphenyl triazines and combinations thereof. Such fibers are particularly useful in ropes and fishing nets.

La présente invention porte sur une fibre de polyoléfine de masse moléculaire extrêmement élevée revêtue d'une composition de revêtement, la composition de revêtement comprenant un stabilisant vis-à-vis des UV, caractérisée en ce que la quantité de stabilisant vis-à-vis des UV est comprise entre 2 % en poids et 80 % en poids par rapport au poids total de la composition de revêtement sur la base des matières solides. L'absorbeur d'UV peut être choisi dans le groupe constitué par les hydroxybenzophénones, les hydroxyphénylbenzotriazoles, les oxalanilides, les esters phényliques, les benzooxazinones, les cyanoacrylates, la formamidine, les malonates de benzylidène et les hydroxyphényltriazines et les associations de ceux-ci. De telles fibres sont particulièrement utiles dans des cordes et des filets de pêche.
