Abstract
(EN) Provided is a heat ray-absorbing glass plate with which a low solar radiation transmittance and a high visible light transmittance are simultaneously satisfied, the color of the transmitted light is green, and there are few types of components that discolor. This heat ray-absorbing glass plate has a solar radiation transmittance of 42% or less for a thickness of 4 mm and has a visible light transmittance (light source A, 2º visual field) of 70% or greater for a thickness of 4 mm, and the primary wavelength of the transmitted light is 492 to 520 nm. As represented by mass percentage based on oxides, the glass is substantially soda lime silica glass having the following composition: SiO2: 65 to 75%, Al2O3: greater than 3% but 6% or less, MgO: 0% or greater but less than 2%, CaO: 7 to 10%, total iron in terms of Fe2O3: 0.45 to 0.65%, TiO2: 0.2 to 0.8%, and substantially none of even one selected from the group consisting of CoO, Cr2O3, V2O5, and MnO, wherein the ratio of the total mass of iron, which is the total amount of iron in terms of Fe2O3, and the mass of divalent FeO is greater than 42% but no greater than 60%.
