(EN)An optical coupler according to the present invention is provided with a multimode waveguide, at least two input waveguides which are connected to the multimode waveguide to input light thereinto, at least two output waveguides which are connected to the multimode waveguide to output light therefrom and a refractive index control unit for adjusting the refractive index of the multimode waveguide, wherein the refractive index control unit is arranged substantially in parallel with a light traveling direction.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un coupleur optique doté d'un guide d'ondes multimode, au moins deux guides d'ondes d'entrée connectés au guide d'ondes multimode pour y faire entrer de la lumière, au moins deux guides d'ondes de sortie connectés au guide d'ondes multimode pour en faire sortir de la lumière et une unité de commande d'indice de réfraction permettant d'ajuster l'indice de réfraction du guide d'ondes multimode, l'unité de commande de l'indice de réfraction étant agencée sensiblement parallèle à une direction de déplacement de la lumière.
