(EN)The invention discloses a multi-layer cell freezing vial and method of obtention thereof. The method of obtention is a cell freezing and thawing process that avoids the need of incorporating new fresh medium to the thawed cells for the dilution of the cryoprotective agent. This is achieved by the previous freezing of an extra layer of culture medium in addition to the frozen cell solution containing said cryoprotective agent. At the time of thawing, the culture medium and the cell solution mix themselves, turning the concentration of said cryoprotective agent to a non-toxic dilution and achieving the effective exclusion of said cryoprotective agent from the living cells.
(FR)Cette invention concerne un flacon de congélation de cellules multi‑couche et son procédé d'obtention. Le procédé consiste à congeler les cellules et à les décongeler en évitant d'avoir à incorporer du milieu frais aux cellules décongelées pour la dilution de l'agent cryoprotecteur. La congélation préalable d'une couche supplémentaire de milieu de culture en plus de la solution de cellules congelées contenant ledit agent cryoprotecteur permet d'obtenir ce résultat. Lors de la décongélation, le milieu de culture et la solution de cellules se mélangent l'un à l'autre, transformant la concentration dudit agent cryoprotecteur en une dilution non toxique et produisant ainsi l'exclusion efficace dudit agent des cellules vivantes.
