Abstract

A method of fractionating biomass, by permeability conditioning biomass suspended in a pH adjusted solution of at least one water-based polar solvent to form a conditioned biomass, intimately contacting the pH adjusted solution with at least one non-polar solvent, partitioning to obtain an non-polar solvent solution and a polar biomass solution, and recovering cell and cell derived products from the non-polar solvent solution and polar biomass solution. Products recovered from the above method. A method of operating a renewable and sustainable plant for growing and processing algae.

Cette invention concerne le fractionnement d'une biomasse consistant à conditionner par perméabilité une biomasse en suspension dans une solution à pH ajusté constituée d'au moins un solvant polaire à base d'eau pour former une biomasse conditionnée, à mettre en contact intimement la solution à pH ajusté avec au moins un solvant non polaire, à fractionner pour obtenir une solution de solvant non polaire et une solution de biomasse polaire, et à récupérer les cellules et les produits dérivés cellulaires à partir de la solution de solvant non polaire et de la solution de biomasse polaire. L'invention concerne les produits récupérés par ce procédé. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fonctionnement d'une unité renouvelable et durable permettant de développer et de traiter les algues.
