This disclosure relates to a method of preparing alpha methyl styrene that may lower explosion risk during a hydrogenation reaction of cumene hydroperxoide due to increase in concentration, improve selectivity to 90% or more to increase the amount to cumyl alcohol thus selectively increasing the amount of alpha methyl styrene, and control the amount of cumene hydroperoxide to control the production amount of alpha methyl styrene according to market demand, through a selective hydrogenation process of cumene hydroperoxide obtained by oxidation of cumene during a phenol preparation process under maximally stabilized conditions of low concentration and temperature.

Cette invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'alpha méthyl styrène qui peut diminuer un risque d'explosion au cours d'une réaction d'hydrogénation d'hydroperoxyde de cumène en raison d'une augmentation en concentration, améliorer la sélectivité jusqu'à 90 % ou plus pour augmenter la quantité d'alcool cumylique, augmentant ainsi sélectivement la quantité d'alpha méthyl styrène, et contrôler la quantité d'hydroperoxyde de cumène pour contrôler la quantité de production d'alpha méthyl styrène selon la demande du marché, par un procédé d'hydrogénation sélective d'hydroperoxyde de cumène obtenu par oxydation de cumène au cours d'un procédé de préparation de phénol dans des conditions de concentration et de température faibles stabilisées au maximum.
