A hybrid dehumidification system for controlling the humidity and/or both humidity and temperature in a space includes a cooling coil for first cooling, or cooling and reducing the humidity of, an airstream to be supplied to the space with an aqueous cooling medium, passing the thus cooled airstream through a desiccant adsorption means to further reduce the humidity of the airstream before supplying the airstream to the space, and regenerating the desiccant adsorption means by heating the desiccant with waste heat from a heat pump used to further cool the first aqueous cooling medium.

L'invention concerne un système hybride de déshumidification pour réguler l'humidité et/ou à la fois l'humidité et la température dans un espace, qui comprend un serpentin de refroidissement pour un premier refroidissement, ou un refroidissement et une réduction d'humidité d'un courant d'air alimentant l'espace avec un agent de refroidissement aqueux, en faisant passer le courant d'air ainsi refroidi à travers un moyen d'adsorption déshydratant pour poursuivre la réduction de son humidité avant qu'il n'alimente l'espace et en régénérant le moyen d'adsorption déshydratant en le chauffant avec de la chaleur perdue provenant d'une pompe à chaleur utilisée pour refroidir encore plus le premier agent de refroidissement aqueux.
