A method for reporting channel information in a wireless local area network system is provided. The method includes receiving a data block for requesting a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) feedback from a requesting station, the data block including a data field and a stream indicator indicating a number of at least one spatial stream in the data field; determining, the MCS feedback based on the data block; and, transmitting the MCS feedback to the requesting station, the MCS feedback including a recommended MCS and a recommended stream indicator indicating a number of at least one recommended spatial stream. The number of the at least one recommended spatial stream in the MCS feedback is equal or less than the number of the at least one spatial stream in the data block.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de rapport d'informations de canal dans un système de réseau local sans fil. Le procédé consiste à recevoir un bloc de données servant à demander un retour d'informations de technique de modulation et de codage (MCS) d'une station demandeuse, le bloc de données comprenant un champ de données et un indicateur de flux indiquant un nombre de flux spatiaux (SS) égal à au moins un dans le champ de données ; à déterminer le retour d'informations MCS sur la base du bloc de données ; et à transmettre le retour d'informations MCS à la station demandeuse, le retour d'informations MCS comprenant une MCS recommandée et un indicateur de flux recommandé indiquant un nombre de flux spatiaux recommandés égal à au moins un. Le nombre de flux spatiaux recommandés égal à au moins un dans le retour d'informations MCS est inférieur ou égal au nombre de flux spatiaux égal à au moins un dans le bloc de données.
