The present invention relates to a method offor signaling information on a prediction mode and to a method of for decoding image information using same. A According to the present invention, the method offor signaling prediction mode information, serving according to the present invention, as a method offor signaling image information, includes performingperforming prediction on a current block and signaling the prediction -type information applied to the current block. The signaling of the information includes joint-coding and components of signaling information components constituting the prediction -type information. According to the present invention, overhead may be reduced when information on a prediction is signaled.

L'invention concerne un procédé de signalisation d'information sur un mode de prédiction, ainsi qu'un procédé de décodage d'information d'image utilisant ce procédé. Selon l'invention, le procédé de signalisation d'information sur le mode de prédiction, servant selon la présente invention de procédé de signalisation d'information d'image, consiste à effectuer une prédiction sur un bloc courant et à signaler l'information de type prédiction appliquée au bloc courant. La signalisation de l'information comprend un codage conjoint et des composants de composants d'information de signalisation constituant l'information de type prédiction. Selon l'invention, il est possible de réduire la surcharge lorsqu'une information sur une prédiction est signalée.

본 발명은 예측 모드(prediction mode)에 관한 정보의 시그널링 방법과 이를 이용한 영상 정보의 복호화 방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 예측 모드 정보의 시그널링 방법은 영상 정보의 시그널링 방법으로서, 현재 블록에 대한 예측을 수행하는 단계 및 상기 현재 블록에 적용한 예측 타입의 정보를 시그널링 하는 단계를 포함하며, 상기 시그널링 단계에서는, 상기 예측 타입의 정보를 구성하는 정보 요소들을 조인트 코딩하여 시그널링할 수 있으며, 본 발명에 의하면 예측에 관한 정보를 시그널링 할 때 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있다.
