This light emitting device is provided with a plurality of first electrodes arranged on a support substrate, a light emitting layer that covers the plurality of first electrodes, and a plurality of second electrodes arranged on the light emitting layer facing the plurality of first electrodes. Individual organic electroluminescent elements are composed of pairs of first and second electrodes sandwiching the light emitting layer. Each first electrode has a first body section, and a first extended section that extends from the first body section in such a manner as to protrude from the light emitting layer in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the first electrodes are arranged. Each second electrode has a second body section, and a second extended section that extends from the body section in such a manner as to protrude from the light emitting layer in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the second electrodes are arranged. At least one electrode among each pair of first and second electrodes has a connection section that extends in the direction in which the electrodes are arranged, and the connection section is connected to the other electrode. At least one electrode among each pair of first and second electrodes is provided with a heat-dissipating section that extends from the extended section and/or the connection section.

L’invention concerne un dispositif électroluminescent qui comprend: une pluralité de premières électrodes disposées sur un substrat de support; une couche électroluminescente recouvrant la pluralité de premières électrodes; et une pluralité de secondes électrodes disposées sur la couche électroluminescente faisant face à la pluralité de premières électrodes. Des éléments électroluminescents organiques individuels sont constitués de paires de premières et secondes électrodes prenant en sandwich la couche électroluminescente. Chaque première électrode présente une première section corps, et une première section extension qui s'étend de la première section corps de manière à saillir de la couche électroluminescente dans un sens perpendiculaire au sens de la disposition des premières électrodes. Chaque seconde électrode présente une seconde section corps, et une seconde section extension qui s'étend de la section corps de manière à saillir de la couche électroluminescente dans un sens perpendiculaire au sens de la disposition des secondes électrodes. Au moins une électrode de chaque paire des premières et secondes électrodes présente une section de raccordement qui s'étend dans le sens de la disposition des électrodes et est reliée à l'autre électrode.
