Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent element which comprises a positive electrode, a light emitting layer, a barrier layer, an electron injection layer and a negative electrode in this order. The light emitting layer contains a host and a styrylamine derivative having a specific structure, and the triplet energy (ETb) of the barrier layer is larger than the triplet energy (ETh) of the host.

L'invention concerne un élément électroluminescent organique qui comprend une électrode positive, une couche d'émission lumineuse, une couche de barrière, une couche d'injection d'électrons et une électrode négative, dans cet ordre. La couche d'émission lumineuse contient un hôte et un dérivé de styrylamine ayant une structure spécifique et l'énergie de triplet (ETb) de la couche de barrière est supérieure à l'énergie de triplet (ETh) de l'hôte.
