The invention relates to a compound having Formula (I), nC7-H15-O-(G)p-H (I), where G is the residue of a reducing sugar, and p is a decimal number greater than or equal to 1.05 and less than or equal to 5. The invention also relates to the method for preparing same and to the use thereof as a hydrotropic surfactant, said use being to make soluble, in an aqueous alkaline composition, at least one non-ionic surfactant having Formula (II), R-(O-CH(R')-CH2)n-(0-CH2-CH2)m-0-H (II), where R is a straight or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radical comprising 8 to 14 carbon atoms, R' is a methyl or ethyl radical, n is a whole number no less than 0 and no more than 15, and m is a whole number no less than 0 and no more than 15, assuming that the sum n + m is greater than 0. The invention also relates to the compositions (C1) containing 0.5% to 20% of compounds of Formula (I), 0.5% to 80% of compounds of Formula (II), 10 wt % to 50 wt % of at least one alkaline agent, 15 wt % to 89 wt % of water, and optionally, 10 wt % to 50 wt % of at least one anti-limescale agent. The invention moreover relates to the use of said compositions for cleaning hard surfaces.

L'invention a pour objet un composé de formule (I): nC7-H15-O-(G)p-H (I) dans laquelle: G représente le reste d'un sucre réducteur, et p représente un nombre décimal supérieur ou égal à 1,05 et inférieur ou égal à 5. L'invention a aussi pour objet : son procédé de préparation, son utilisation comme agent tensioactif hydrotrope et pour solubiliser dans une composition alcaline aqueuse au moins un tensioactif non-ionique de formule (II): R-(O-CH(R')-CH2)n-(0-CH2-CH2)m-0-H (II) dans laquelle R représente un radical aliphatique hydrocarboné, saturé ou insaturé, linéaire ou ramifié, comportant de 8 à 14 atomes de carbone, R' représente un radical méthyl ou éthyl, n représente un nombre entier supérieur ou égal à 0 et inférieur ou égal à 15, m représente un nombre entier supérieur ou égal à 0 et inférieur ou égal à 15, étant entendu que la somme n + m est supérieure à zéro. L'invention a également pour objet les compositions (C1) comprenant de 0,5 % à 20 % de composés de formule (I), de 0,5 % à 80 % de formule (II), de 10 % à 50 % massique, d'au moins un agent alcalin, de 15 % à 89 % massique d'eau; et optionnellement de 10 % à 50 % massique d'au moins un agent anticalcaire; et leur utilisation pour nettoyer les surfaces dures.
