An implantable medical device (100) has a broadband RF receiver (172) operating within an RF band and having stored information of a characteristic receiver frequency representing the RF within the RF band at which the broadband RF receiver (172) has sufficient receiver sensitivity. The stored information is retrieved in response to a message from an external communication device and is included in a response generated by the implantable medical device (100) and transmitted to the communication device. The information enables the communication device (400) to select its transmission frequency at a subsequent transmission instance to the relevant implantable medical device (100). The chances of successful reception at the subsequent transmission instance are thereby increased.

L'invention porte sur un dispositif médical implantable (100) ayant un récepteur RF à large bande (172) fonctionnant dans une bande RF et ayant des informations stockées d'une fréquence de récepteur caractéristique représentant la radiofréquence (RF) dans la bande RF au niveau de laquelle le récepteur RF à large bande (172) a une sensibilité de récepteur suffisante. Les informations stockées sont extraites en réponse à un message provenant d'un dispositif de communication externe et sont comprises dans une réponse générée par le dispositif médical implantable (100) et transmises au dispositif de communication. Les informations permettent au dispositif de communication (400) de sélectionner sa fréquence de transmission au niveau d'une instance de transmission ultérieure pour le dispositif médical implantable (100). Les chances de réception réussie au niveau de l'instance de transmission ultérieure sont ainsi accrues.
