Techniques to annotate street level images with contextual information are described. A map application may comprise a street level component that when executed by a processor is operative to generate annotated street view images of a location. The street level component may comprise a street view component operative to generate a street view image from multiple street level images, the street view image having one or more objects located within the street view image. The street level component may further comprise a metadata component communicatively coupled to the street view component, the metadata component operative to generate a horizontal metadata panel having object metadata positioned in approximate vertical alignment with a corresponding object in the street view image, and combine the horizontal metadata panel with the street view image to form an annotated street view image. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

La présente invention concerne des techniques d'annotation d'images au niveau du sol avec des informations contextuelles. Une application de plan peut comporter un composant au niveau du sol qui, lorsqu'il est mis en œuvre par un processeur, est conçu pour créer des images annotées de visualisation d'une rue en un emplacement. Le composant au niveau du sol peut lui-même comporter un composant de visualisation d'une rue conçu pour créer une image de visualisation d'une rue à partir de multiples images au niveau du sol, l'image de visualisation d'une rue contenant un ou plusieurs objets. Le composant au niveau du sol peut en outre comporter un composant de métadonnées couplé en communication avec le composant de visualisation d'une rue, le composant de métadonnées étant conçu pour créer un volet de métadonnées horizontal comprenant des métadonnées d'objet positionnées en un alignement approximativement vertical avec un objet correspondant dans l'image de visualisation d'une rue, et pour combiner le volet de métadonnées horizontal à l'image de visualisation d'une rue de façon à former une image annotée de visualisation d'une rue. D'autres modes de réalisation sont décrits et revendiqués.
