The present invention relates to an arrangement, a communication network node and a user equipment allowing for probing of alternative antenna configurations in a communication network system as well as a method for such probing. The method comprises making one of the reconfigurable antennas (15a2, 15b2) of at least one cell (19a, 19b) temporarily available for probing and reconfiguring one or more antenna parameters thereof in accordance with a probing antenna parameter set. A new probe cell (20a, 20b) is transmitted from the prepared antenna (15a2, 15b2) and measurement reports collected from the user equipments (18) within the at least one cell (19a, 19b) and the probe cell (20a, 20b). The probing antenna parameter set is evaluated based on the collected measurement reports whereupon is determined if the reconfigurable physical antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) of the cell shall use the probing antenna parameter set or the initial antenna parameter set. Finally the probing cell (20a, 20b) is removed and the antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) adjusted in accordance with the determination.

La présente invention se rapporte à un agencement, à un nœud de réseau de communication et à un équipement utilisateur qui permettent de vérifier des configurations d'antenne alternatives dans un système de réseau de communication ainsi qu'à un procédé permettant une telle vérification. Le procédé consiste à fabriquer l'une des antennes reconfigurables (15a2, 15b2) avec au moins une cellule (19a, 19b) disponible temporairement pour vérifier et reconfigurer un ou plusieurs de ses paramètres d'antenne selon un ensemble de paramètres d'antenne de vérification. Une nouvelle cellule de vérification (20a, 20b) est transmise depuis l'antenne préparée (15a2, 15b2) et des rapports de mesure sont recueillis depuis les équipements utilisateurs (18) dans la ou les cellules (19a, 19b) et la cellule de vérification (20a, 20b). L'ensemble de paramètres d'antenne de vérification est évalué sur la base des rapports de mesure recueillis ; après quoi, il est déterminé si les antennes physiques reconfigurables (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) de la cellule utiliseront l'ensemble de paramètres d'antenne de vérification ou l'ensemble de paramètres d'antenne initial. Finalement, la cellule de vérification (20a, 20b) est retirée et les antennes (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) sont réglées selon la détermination.
