The present invention provides expression vectors comprising polynucleotides encoding mutant Zea mays KRP dominant negative proteins, and methods of using the same. In addition, transgenic plants expressing said KRP dominant negative proteins are provided. Furthermore, methods of increasing average seed weight, seed size, seed number and/or yield of a plant by using said KRP dominant negative proteins are provided.

La présente invention concerne des vecteurs d'expression comprenant des polynucléotides codant pour des protéines négatives dominantes KRP de Zea mays mutantes, et des procédés d'utilisation de ceux-ci. De plus, la présente invention concerne des plantes transgéniques exprimant lesdites protéines négatives dominantes KRP. La présente invention concerne en outre des procédés d'augmentation du poids de graines moyen, de la taille de graine, du nombre de graines et/ou du rendement en graines d'une plante en utilisant lesdites protéines négatives dominantes KRP.
