Abstract

Methods for co-processing a biorenewable feedstock and a petroleum distillate feedstock are provided. The petroleum distillate feedstock containing sulfur is reacted with hydrogen gas in the presence of a hydrotreating catalyst thereby forming an effluent mixture comprising hydrogen sulfide. A combined feed comprising the effluent mixture, optionally a recycle liquid, and the biorenewable feedstock is contacted with hydrogen gas in a reaction zone with a deoxygenation catalyst under reaction conditions to provide a reaction product comprising a hydrocarbon fraction. The combined feed comprises greater than 50 weight percent biorenewable feedstock.

L'invention concerne des procédés de co-traitement d'une charge d'alimentation biorenouvelable et d'une charge d'alimentation de distillat de pétrole. La charge d'alimentation de distillat de pétrole contenant du soufre est mise à réagir avec de l'hydrogène gazeux en présence d'un catalyseur d'hydrotraitement pour ainsi former un mélange d'effluents contenant du sulfure d'hydrogène. Une charge d'alimentation combinée contenant le mélange d'effluents, éventuellement un liquide recyclé et la charge d'alimentation biorenouvelable est mise en contact avec de l'hydrogène gazeux dans une zone réactionnelle avec un catalyseur de désoxygénation dans des conditions réactionnelles permettant d'obtenir un produit réactionnel comprenant une fraction d'hydrocarbure. La charge d'alimentation biorenouvelable représente plus de 50 pour cent en poids de la charge d'alimentation combinée.
