Provided is a facsimile device capable of reducing the power consumption when a FAX is not received after receiving an incoming call. An MFP (1) integrated with the facsimile device of the present invention is provided with a call signal detecting circuit (22) for detecting a call signal received from a PSTN (94), a modem (19) having a CNG detecting unit (41) for detecting a CNG signal received via the PSTN (94), a printer (11) for printing the FAX data obtained by decoding same with the modem (19), and a power supply control unit (52) for controlling the power supply to the MFP (1) itself. The power supply control unit (52) begins supplying power to the modem (19) when a call signal is detected while the supply of power to the modem (19) and the printer (11) is stopped, and begins supplying power to the printer (11) when a CNG signal is detected by means of the CNG detecting unit (41) of the modem (19) being supplied with power.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de télécopie capable de réduire la consommation d'énergie lorsque aucun fax n'est reçu après réception d'un appel entrant. Un périphérique multifonction (1) intégré au dispositif de télécopie de la présente invention est doté d'un circuit de détection de signal d'appel (22) servant à détecter un signal d'appel reçu d'un RTCP (94), d'un modem (19) ayant une unité de détection de CNG (41) servant à détecter un signal CNG reçu du RTCP (94), d'une imprimante (11) servant à imprimer les données de fax obtenues en décodant celles-ci avec le modem (19), et d'une unité de commande d'alimentation électrique (52) servant à commander l'alimentation électrique destinée au périphérique multifonction (1) lui-même. L'unité de commande d'alimentation électrique (52) commence à alimenter le modem (19) lorsqu'un signal d'appel est détecté pendant que l'alimentation électrique destinée au modem (19) et à l'imprimante (11) est coupée, et commence à alimenter l'imprimante (11) lorsqu'un signal CNG est détecté par l'unité de détection de CNG (41) du modem (19) alimenté.
