The purpose of the present invention is to improve detection of a failure in a particulate filter. This device for detecting a failure in a particulate filter has an obtaining unit for obtaining the amount of particulate matter in exhaust flowing out of the particulate filter, a restoring unit for performing filter restoration by oxidizing and removing particulate matter accumulated in the particulate filter, and a failure determining unit for determining that the particulate filter has failed when the amount of particulate matter in the exhaust as obtained by the obtaining unit does not decrease by at least a standard amount within a predetermined period of time after completion of filter restoration by the restoring unit.

La présente invention a pour objet d'améliorer la détection de la défaillance d'un filtre à particules. Ce dispositif de détection de défaillance de filtre à particules comporte une unité d'obtention permettant d'obtenir la quantité de matières particulaires dans l'échappement s'écoulant hors du filtre à particules, une unité de restauration permettant d'effectuer une restauration de filtre par l'oxydation et le retrait des matières particulaires accumulées dans le filtre à particules, et une unité de détermination de défaillance permettant de déterminer que le filtre à particules fait l'objet d'une défaillance quand la quantité de matières particulaires dans l'échappement, telle qu'elle est obtenue par l'unité d'obtention, ne diminue pas selon au moins une quantité standard dans les limites d'une période de temps prédéterminée après la réalisation de l'opération de restauration de filtre par l'unité de restauration.

 本発明は、パティキュレートフィルタの故障をより好適に検出することを目的とする。本発明に係るパティキュレートフィルタの故障検出装置は、パティキュレートフィルタから流出する排気中のPM量を取得する取得部と、パティキュレートフィルタに堆積したPMを酸化させて除去するフィルタ再生処理を実行する再生処理実行部と、再生処理実行部によるフィルタ再生処理の実行が終了した時点から所定の期間中に、前記取得部によって取得される排気中のPM量が所定の基準量以上減少しない場合は、パティキュレートフィルタが故障していると判定する故障判定部と、を備える。
