A method comprising forming a partial barrier (19) in an outer part of a flange joint, applying a sealant (14) to the outside of the flange joint (5), and supplying a safe sealing fluid (8) to an inner part of the flange joint, prevents a process fluid from leaking out through a flange joint, advantageously without having to dismantle the flange joint.

L'invention concerne une méthode comprenant la formation d'une barrière partielle (19) dans une partie extérieure d'un joint à bride en appliquant un enduit d'étanchéité (14) à l'extérieur du joint à bride (5) et en plaçant un fluide d'étanchéité (8) sûr dans une partie intérieure du joint à bride. La méthode empêche la fuite d'un fluide de procédé par un joint à bride, avec l'avantage de ne pas devoir démonter le joint à bride.
