In various embodiments, an electronic device such as a portable computer has a structure that extends from the device to wirelessly transfer electrical power between itself and an external device. The structure may be placed in a non-extended position when not being used for such power transfer. In some embodiments power transfer may take place in either direction, and may be used for various purposes, such as to provide operational power and/or to charge a battery. The external device may be placed on or near the extended structure for power transfer to take place.

La présente invention concerne, par divers modes de réalisation, un dispositif électronique tel qu'un ordinateur portable équipé d'une structure qui se déplie du dispositif de façon à transférer sans fil de l'énergie entre lui-même et un dispositif externe. Cette structure peut être laissée en position non dépliée quand elle n'est pas utilisée pour un tel transfert d'énergie. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le transfert peut se faire dans l'un ou l'autre sens, et peut s'utiliser à diverses fins, notamment pour fournir de l'énergie de fonctionnement et/ou pour charger une batterie. Le dispositif externe peut se placer sur la structure dépliée ou à proximité d'elle pour effectuer le transfert d'énergie.
