According to example embodiments, a method includes dispersing carbon nanotubes in a mixed solution containing a solvent, the carbon nanotubes, and a dispersant, the carbon nanotubes including semiconducting carbon nanotubes, the dispersant comprising a polythiophene derivative including a thiophene ring and a hydrocarbon sidechain linked to the thiophene ring. The hydrocarbon sidechain includes an alkyl group containing a carbon number of 7 or greater. The hydrocarbon sidechain may be regioregularly arranged, and the semiconducting carbon nanotubes are selectively separated from the mixed solution. An electronic device includes semiconducting carbon nanotubes and the foregoing described polythiophene derivative.

Selon des modes de réalisation à titre d'exemples, un procédé consiste à disperser des nanotubes de carbone dans une solution mixte contenant un solvant, les nanotubes de carbone et un agent dispersant, les nanotubes de carbone comprenant des nanotubes de carbone semiconducteurs, l'agent dispersant comprenant un dérivé polythiophène comprenant un noyau thiophène et une chaîne latérale hydrocarbonée liée au noyau thiophène. La chaîne latérale hydrocarbonée comprend un groupe alkyle contenant un nombre de carbones de 7 ou plus. La chaîne latérale hydrocarbonée peut être arrangée de façon régio-régulière et les nanotubes de carbone semiconducteurs sont séparés de façon sélective de la solution mixte. Un dispositif électronique comprend des nanotubes de carbone semiconducteurs et le dérivé polythiophène précédemment décrit.
