The present invention provides a method for the detection of a gripping of a handheld device with one hand, using a capacitive sensor device, comprising at least one transmitting electrode, at least one compensating electrode and at least one receiving electrode. An electrical signal is tapped at the receiving electrode and the sensor device can be operated in a first operating mode and in a second operating mode. In the first operating mode, a first alternating electrical signal is applied to the transmitting electrode and a second alternating electrical signal is applied to the compensating electrode. In the second operating mode, the second alternating signal is only applied to the compensating electrode. The present invention also provides a sensor device which is configured to perform the method according to the present invention.

La présente invention porte sur un procédé de détection de la préhension d'un dispositif portatif à l'aide d'une main, au moyen d'un dispositif de capteur capacitif, comprenant au moins une électrode d'émission, au moins une électrode de compensation et au moins une électrode de réception. Un signal électrique est prélevé au niveau de l'électrode de réception et le dispositif de capteur peut être utilisé dans un premier mode de fonctionnement et dans un second mode de fonctionnement. Dans le premier mode de fonctionnement, un premier signal électrique alternatif est appliqué à l'électrode d'émission et un second signal électrique alternatif est appliqué à l'électrode de compensation. Dans le second mode de fonctionnement, le second signal alternatif est appliqué seulement à l'électrode de compensation. La présente invention porte également sur un dispositif de capteur qui est configuré pour mettre en œuvre le procédé selon la présente invention.
