Abstract

A substrate shipping container suitable for shipping solar cells, substrate wafers, or other suitable media. In some embodiments, the readily constructed container is made up of two identical container portions, each container portion having a horizontally-disposed base member and two adjacent vertically-disposed side members constructed of impact- absorbing double walls. The two container portions are shaped to be coupled using integrally formed tabs and slots located about the perimeter of the container portions. The horizontally-disposed base member of each container portion is equipped with a plurality of integrally formed pads. These pads serve as cushions to provide shock absorption in the vertical direction to substrates that are stacked between these members. Embodiments may further be comprised of molded polymers or pulp.

L'invention concerne un conteneur d'expédition pour substrats, adapté à l'expédition de cellules solaires, de galettes de substrats ou d'autres supports appropriés. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le conteneur à montage facile est constitué de deux parties de conteneur identiques, chaque partie de conteneur comprenant un élément d'embase disposé horizontalement et deux éléments latéraux adjacents disposés verticalement, constitués de doubles parois absorbant les impacts. Les deux parties de conteneur présentent une forme permettant de les coupler à l'aide de languettes et de rainures formées de façon intégrée et situées sur le pourtour des parties de conteneur. L'élément d'embase disposé horizontalement de chaque partie de conteneur est équipé d'une pluralité de tampons formés de façon intégrée. Ces tampons servent de coussins afin d'assurer un amortissement dans la direction verticale pour les substrats empilés entre les éléments en question. Certains modes de réalisation peuvent en outre être constitués de polymères ou de pâte à papier moulés.
