A photo media (200, 300, 400, 500) may comprise a substrate (205, 305, 405, 505), the substrate (205, 305, 405, 505) having an image receiving side (270, 370, 470, 570) and a non-image receiving side (275, 375, 475, 575), an extruded barrier layer (210, 310, 410, 510) disposed on the non-image receiving side (275, 375, 475, 575) of the substrate (205, 305, 405, 505), and a laminate layer (220, 320, 420, 520) disposed on the image receiving side (270, 370, 470, 570) of the substrate (205, 305, 405, 505) after an ink layer is printed (215, 315, 415, 515). The photo media (200, 300, 400, 500) may further comprise an image receiving layer (225, 330a, 425, 525) disposed on the image receiving side (270, 370, 470, 570) of the substrate (205, 305, 405, 505) between the substrate (205, 305, 405, 505) and the laminate layer (220, 320, 420, 520).
