Systems and methods for synthesizing molecules on a substrate surface are disclosed. In one aspect, a molecule synthesizing system (100) includes a crossbar array (102) with a planar arrangement of crossbar junctions. Each crossbar junction is independently switchable between a high-resistance state and a low-resistance state. The system also includes a slab (104) with a first surface (114) and a second surface (116) parallel to the first surface. The second surface is disposed on the crossbar array. A current applied to a crossbar junction in a high-resistance state creates an adjacent heated site on the first surface for attaching thermally reactive molecules for molecular synthesis.

L'invention porte sur des systèmes et des procédés de synthèse de molécules sur une surface de substrat. Selon un aspect, un système de synthèse de molécules (100) comprend un réseau de barres croisées (102) comportant un agencement plan de jonctions de barres croisées. Chaque jonction de barres croisées est commutable de manière indépendante entre un état à haute résistance et un état à faible résistance. Le système comprend également une plaque (104) comportant une première surface (114) et une seconde surface (116) parallèle à la première surface. La seconde surface est disposée sur le réseau de barres croisées. Un courant appliqué à une jonction de barres croisées dans un état de haute résistance crée un site chauffé adjacent sur la première surface pour une fixation de molécules réactives thermiquement pour une synthèse moléculaire.
