An apparatus and method reduce distortion in a processed signal. The apparatus includes a first receive path, a second receive path, a summation unit, and a compensation unit. The first receive path is configured to process a received analog signal into a first digital signal. The second receive path is configured to process the received analog signal with a phase shift into a second digital signal. The summation unit is configured to sum the first and second digital signals to form a processed digital signal. The compensation unit is configured to identify a conjugate of the processed digital signal, apply a weighting factor to the conjugate of the processed digital signal to form a weighted signal, and subtract the weighted signal from the processed digital signal to reduce the distortion.

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé destinés à réduire une distorsion dans un signal traité. L'appareil selon l'invention comprend un premier chemin de réception, un deuxième chemin de réception, une unité de sommation et une unité de compensation. Le premier chemin de réception est configuré pour traiter un signal analogique reçu dans un premier signal numérique. Le deuxième chemin de réception est configuré pour traiter le signal analogique reçu avec un déphasage dans un deuxième signal analogique. L'unité de sommation est configurée pour additionner les premier et deuxième signaux numériques pour former un signal numérique traité. L'unité de compensation est configurée pour identifier un conjugué du signal numérique traité, appliquer un facteur de pondération au conjugué du signal numérique traité pour former un signal pondéré et soustraire le signal pondéré du signal numérique traité pour réduire la distorsion.
