In the machine tool (10) pertaining to the present invention, the contour lines (51) of a tool (20) are displayed on a display screen (S). When an operator measuring the dimensions traces a contour line (51) on the display screen (S) of a touch panel (45) with a finger, it is possible to automatically identify, on the display screen (S), the site to be measured (i.e., the contour line (51)) on the tool (20). In this way, an operator can measure the dimensions of the tool (20) in an extremely simple manner. Additionally, it is possible to automatically measure the tool diameter or the blade position of the tool (20) as the operator designates a specific position on the contour line (51) of the tool (20). Thus, with such a method for measuring the dimensions of the tool (20), it is possible to easily identify an unexpected site to be measured on a tool having complex contour lines, such as a multi-stage tool.

On décrit une machine-outil (10) dans laquelle les lignes de contour (51) d'un outil (20) sont affichées sur un écran (S). Lorsqu'un opérateur employé à mesurer les dimensions trace avec le doigt une ligne de contour (51) sur l'écran (S) d'un panneau tactile (45), le site à mesurer (c'est-à-dire la ligne de contour (51) de l'outil (20)) peut être identifié automatiquement sur l'écran (S). Ainsi, un opérateur peut mesurer les dimensions de l'outil (20) de manière extrêmement simple. En outre, il est possible de mesurer automatiquement le diamètre de l'outil ou la position de la lame de l'outil (20) lorsque l'opérateur indique une position spécifique sur la ligne de contour (51) de l'outil (20). Un tel procédé de mesure des dimensions de l'outil (20) permet donc d'identifier facilement un site inattendu à mesurer sur un outil présentant des lignes de contour complexes, tel qu'un outil multi-étages.

 本発明に係る工作機械(10)によれば、表示画面(S)上には工具(20)の輪郭線(51)が表示される。寸法測定の操作者がタッチパネル(45)の表示画面(S)上で輪郭線(51)を指で辿って接触教示すれば、表示画面(S)上で工具(20)の測定部位すなわち輪郭線(51)が自動的に特定されることが可能である。こうして操作者は極めて簡単に工具(20)の寸法を測定することができる。加えて、操作者が例えば工具(20)の輪郭線(51)の特定の位置を指定することによって工具(20)の工具径や刃先位置が自動的に測定されることが可能である。従って、こうした工具(20)の寸法測定方法によれば、例えば多段工具などの複雑な輪郭線を有する想定外の工具の測定部位が簡単に特定されることが可能である。
