An optical measurement device (2) comprises: a member for correction (41) which is an object of illumination of an illumination light when a correction process of the optical measurement device (2) and a measurement probe (3) is carried out; an insertion part (42a) wherein a leading end of the measurement probe (3) may be inserted; a housing part (42b) which communicates with the insertion part (42a) and movably houses the member for correction (41) along the penetration direction of the insertion part (42a); a casing body member (42) which communicates with the housing part (42b), has an aperture part (42c) formed which retains at least a component of a switch unit (25) whereon an operating force is applied, and is positioned with respect to the switch unit (25) such that the operating force is applied to the switch unit (25) when the member for correction (41) reaches a prescribed location within the housing part (42b) by the measurement probe (3) being inserted from the insertion part (42a); and a controller unit (27) which carries out a control which commences the correction process when a power supply (21) is activated.
