An image capturing device (100) is provided with: an image capturing unit (102) which generates, by continuous image capturing, a plurality of pieces of image data which are continuous in the time direction; an image processing unit which corrects a compression ratio of the image data on the basis of correction elements for correcting the image data, and performs compression coding using an intra-prediction coding system; a data control unit (124) which stores the image data subjected to the compression coding in an image storage unit; a current compression ratio derivation unit (130) which derives a current compression ratio which is an actual compression ratio of the image data subjected to the compression coding; a current compression ratio holding unit (132) which holds a plurality of current compression ratios continuous in the time direction; a subsequent compression ratio prediction unit (134) which predicts a subsequent compression ratio which is a compression ratio of image data to be subjected to the subsequent compression coding, on the basis of the plurality of current compression ratios which are held, or on the basis of the plurality of current compression ratios which are held, and the compression ratio of the image data to be subjected to the current compression coding; and a correction element derivation unit which derives correction elements on the basis of the subsequent compression ratio.
