In order to provide a water electrolysis device having excellent water electrolysis treatment capacity without increasing the device size or incurring higher equipment cost, and to provide an economical, safe, and environmentally friendly fuel supply apparatus by using the water electrolysis device, this water electrolysis device is configured so as to electrolyze water in an electrolytic bath in which a plurality of electrode plates is housed, produce a gas mixture of hydrogen and oxygen, and discharge the generated gas mixture, wherein the temperature of an electrolytic solution is detected by electrolytic solution temperature detecting means, and the number of electrode plates that contribute to electrolysis among the plurality of electrode plates is increased or decreased on the basis of the electrolytic solution temperature detected by the electrolytic solution temperature detecting means.

L'invention vise à fournir un dispositif d'électrolyse de l'eau ayant une excellente capacité d'électrolyse de l'eau sans nécessiter une augmentation de la taille du dispositif ni engendrer une hausse des coûts de matériel, ainsi qu'un appareil d'alimentation en combustible pourvu d'un tel dispositif d'électrolyse de l'eau, cet appareil étant économique, sûr et sans danger pour l'environnement. À cet effet, le dispositif d'électrolyse de l'eau selon l'invention est configuré pour électrolyser l'eau dans un bain électrolytique dans lequel une pluralité d'électrodes planes est logée, produire un mélange gazeux d'hydrogène et d'oxygène et rejeter le mélange gazeux généré, la température d'une solution électrolytique étant détectée par un moyen de détection de température de solution électrolytique, et le nombre d'électrodes planes contribuant à l'électrolyse parmi la pluralité d'électrodes planes étant augmenté ou réduit d'après la température détectée par le moyen de détection de température de solution électrolytique.

装置の大型化や設備コストの増大を招くことなく、水電気分解処理能力の優れた水電気分解装置を提供し、該水電気分解装置を利用することで環境に優しく、経済的で安全な燃料供給装置を提供することを企図し、その為に、複数枚の電極板を収容した電解槽内において水を電気分解して水素と酸素の混合ガスを生成し、この生成された混合ガスを排出するように構成された水電気分解装置において、電解液温度検出手段により電解液の温度を検出し、上記電解液温度検出手段により検出される電解液温度に基づいて、上記複数枚の電極板の内電気分解に寄与する電極板の枚数を増減させるようにした。
