There is provided herein an optical system for a tip section of a multi-sensor endoscope, the system comprising: a front-pointing camera sensor; a front objective lens system; a side-pointing camera sensor; and a side objective lens system, wherein at least one of said front and side objective lens systems comprises a front and a rear sub-systems seperated by a stop diaphragm,said front sub-system comprises, in order from the object side, a first front negative lens and a second front positive lens, said rear sub-system comprises, in order from the object side, a first rear positive lens, an achromatic sub-assembly comprising a second rear positive lens and a third rear negative lens, wherein the following condition is satisfied: f(first rear positive lens) ≤1.8f, where f is the composite focal length of the total lens system and f(first rear positive lens) is the focal length of said first rear positive lens.

La présente invention concerne un système optique destiné à une section de pointe d'un endoscope à capteurs multiples. Le système comprend : un capteur de caméra orienté vers l'avant ; un système de lentilles de focalisation avant ; un capteur de caméra orienté latéralement ; et un système de lentilles de focalisation latéral. Au moins un desdits systèmes de lentilles de focalisation avant et latéral comprend des sous-systèmes avant et arrière séparés par un diaphragme fixe. Ledit sous-système avant comporte, dans l'ordre depuis le côté objet, une première lentille avant négative et une seconde lentille avant positive. Ledit sous-système arrière comporte, dans l'ordre depuis le côté objet, une première lentille arrière positive, un sous-ensemble achromatique contenant une deuxième lentille arrière positive et une troisième lentille arrière négative. La condition suivante est satisfaite : f(première lentille arrière positive) ≤ 1,8 f, où f est la longueur focale composite de l'ensemble du système de lentilles et f(première lentille arrière positive) est la longueur focale de ladite première lentille arrière positive.
