Thermoplastic compositions that are capable of being used in a laser direct structuring process to provide enhanced plating performance and good mechanical properties. The compositions of the present invention include a thermoplastic base resin, a laser direct structuring additive and a white pigment. The compositions can be used in a variety of applications such as personal computers, notebook and portable computers, cell phone antennas and other such communications equipment, medical applications, RFED applications, and automotive applications.

La présente invention concerne des compositions thermoplastiques pouvant être utilisées dans le cadre d'un procédé de structuration directe par laser en vue de l'obtention de meilleures performances de dépôt et de bonnes propriétés mécaniques. Les compositions de la présente invention comprennent une résine thermoplastique de base, un additif de structuration directe par laser et un pigment blanc. Lesdites compositions peuvent être utilisées dans diverses applications telles que les ordinateurs personnels, les bloc-notes électroniques et les ordinateurs portables, les antennes pour téléphone portable et autres équipements de communication similaires, des applications médicales, des applications de radio-identification et des applications automobiles.
