(EN)Provided is a molten salt battery in which the cycle life thereof is improved by using an electrolyte that does not easily corrode aluminum. The molten salt battery of the present invention has a total concentration of 0.1 wt% or less, preferably 0.01 wt%, of iron ions and nickel ions contained as impurities in the molten salt electrolyte. Because of the low total concentration of iron ions and nickel ions contained in the electrolyte, corrosion of the electrode collector, which is formed from aluminum, is inhibited and the cycle life of the molten salt battery is improved.
(FR)L'invention concerne un accumulateur à sels fondus présentant une durée de vie améliorée par l'utilisation d'un électrolyte qui ne corrode pas facilement l'aluminium. L'accumulateur selon l'invention présente une concentration totale de 0,1 % en poids ou inférieure, de préférence 0,01 % en poids, d'ions fer et d'ions nickel contenus sous forme d'impuretés dans l'électrolyte de sels fondus. Comme la concentration totale des ions fer et des ions nickel contenus dans l'électrolyte est faible, la corrosion du collecteur d'électrode à base d'aluminium est empêchée et la durée de vie de l'accumulateur à sels fondus est améliorée.
