(EN)Systems and methods for implementing a virtual environment system (102) are disclosed herein. A virtualization module (110) of the virtual environment system (102) receives a change in position of an avatar in a virtual environment from a client device (104) associated with the virtual environment system (102). The received change is based on a grid based architecture of the virtual environment. Further, the virtualization module (110) renders the position of the avatar in the virtual environment, based on the received change from the client device (104).
