(EN)A phosphor improved in brightness over conventional β-SiAlON phosphors. By adding specific concentrations of aluminum, oxygen, and europium to an already-manufactured β-SiAlON phosphor, a phosphor with improved brightness is provided. That is, a β-SiAlON phosphor containing silicon, aluminum, oxygen, nitrogen, and europium is provided, said phosphor being characterized by an aluminum concentration of 0.80% to 2.25%, an oxygen concentration of 0.36% to 1.15%, and a europium concentration of 0.40% to 0.80% by mass, with the ratio (Al/O) of the aluminum concentration to the oxygen concentration being between 2.0 and 3.0, inclusive.
(FR)L'invention concerne un luminophore présentant une luminosité améliorée par rapport aux luminophores β-SiAlON. Grâce à l'ajout de concentrations spécifiques d'aluminium, d'oxygène, et de europium à un luminophore β-SiAlON déjà fabriqué, on obtient un luminophore ayant une luminosité améliorée.
