(EN)Disclosed is an apparatus and methodology for operating an automatic darkening filter (ADF) eye protection device. An operating voltage is alternately applied to a pair of control terminals of an ADF device circuit in a continuing sequence where a first polarity voltage is applied to the pair of terminals and then reversed. A delay period is provided between application of the alternating polarities. In some embodiments ground potential is applied to both terminals of the pair of terminals during the delay period.
(FR)Cette invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de faire fonctionner un dispositif de protection oculaire à filtre auto‑obscurcissant (ADF). Une tension de service est appliquée alternativement sur une paire de terminaux maîtres d'un circuit de dispositif ADF en séquence continue, une première tension de polarité étant appliquée sur la paire de terminaux avant d'être inversée. Un délai est observé entre l'application des polarités alternatives. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le potentiel à la terre est appliqué sur les deux terminaux de la paire lors du délai.
