(EN)The invention relates to a gas turbine engine comprising a case (5, 15) in which is mounted at least one shaft (2) for driving a fan (4) solidly connected to a driving drum (6) provided with blades (61) in order to compress an airflow moving from upstream to downstream in the engine. The engine comprises axial retention means (30), on standby, solidly connected to the case (5, 15) and arranged to come into contact with the driving drum (6) such as to prevent the axial movement of the drum (6) in the event of breakage of the driving shaft (2).
