A composition comprising a fluid, and a material dispersed in the fluid, the material made up of particles having a complex three dimensional surface area such as a sharp bladelike surface, the particles having an aspect ratio larger than 0.7 for promoting kinetic boundary layer mixing in a non-linear-viscosity zone. The composition may further include an additive dispersed in the fluid. The fluid may be a polymer material. A method of moving the fluid to disperse the material within the fluid wherein the material migrates to a boundary layer of the fluid to promote kinetic mixing of the additives within the fluid, the kinetic mixing taking place in a non-linear viscosity zone.

La présente invention concerne une composition comprenant un liquide et une substance dispersée dans le liquide, la substance composée de particules ayant une surface tridimensionnelle complexe telle une surface de lame tranchante, les particules ayant un rapport largeur/longueur supérieur à 0,7 pour favoriser le mélange cinétique de couche barrière dans une zone de viscosité non linéaire. La composition peut en outre comprendre un additif dispersé dans le liquide. Le liquide peut être une substance polymère. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de déplacer le liquide pour disperser la substance au sein du liquide, la substance migrant vers une couche barrière du liquide pour favoriser le mélange cinétique des additifs au sein du liquide, le mélange cinétique ayant lieu dans une zone de viscosité non linéaire.
