(EN)A method for extracting a metal particulate from an aqueous solution, the mehtod comprising the steps of: - containing a sorbate ligand with the aqueous solution containing the metal particulate to form a metal particulate - sorbate ligand complex; and - containing a sol -gel derived sorbent swellable to at least 1.5 times its volume comprising an aromatically - bridged, organosiloxane sol-gel derived composition, containing a plurality of alkylsiloxy substituents, with the aqueous solution containing the metal particulate - sorbate ligand complex under condtitions effective to cause the a sol -gel derived sorbent to sorb the metal particulate- sorbate ligand complex.
(FR)L'invention concerne une méthode d'extraction de particules de métal d'une solution aqueuse, la méthode comprenant les étapes suivantes : - Introduire un ligand sorbant dans la solution aqueuse contenant les particules de métal pour former un complexe ligand sorbant/particules de métal; et - Introduire un sorbant dérivé d'un sol-gel pouvant gonfler jusqu'à au moins 1,5 fois son volume comprenant une composition dérivée d'un sol-gel d'organosiloxane aromatique ponté contenant une pluralité de substituants alkylsiloxy, dans la solution aqueuse contenant le complexe ligand sorbant/particules de métal dans des conditions favorables à la sorption du complexe ligand sorbant/particules de métal sur le sorbant dérivé d'un sol-gel.
