(EN)The present invention relates to a method for predicting the arrival of a public transportation vehicle at a preset station comprising the steps of: (a) receiving the route of said public transportation vehicle; (b) receiving the coordinates of a station of said public transportation vehicle; (c) receiving the segments of said route and their related statistics; (d) receiving at least one GPS reading, indicative of the location of said public transportation vehicle; and (e) calculating the predicted travel time required for said public transportation vehicle to reach said preset station based at least on the location of said public transportation vehicle and said statistics of said segments leading to said preset station.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé pour prévoir l'arrivée d'un véhicule de transport public au niveau d'une station prédéfinie comprenant les étapes de : (a) réception de la route dudit véhicule de transport public; (b) réception des coordonnées d'une station dudit véhicule de transport public; (c) réception des segments de ladite route et de leurs statistiques relatives; (d) réception d'au moins un relevé GPS, indicatif de l'emplacement dudit véhicule de transport public; et (e) calcul du temps de transport prévu nécessaire audit véhicule de transport public pour atteindre ladite station prédéfinie en fonction au moins de l'emplacement dudit véhicule de transport public et desdites statistiques desdits segments conduisant à ladite station prédéfinie.
