(EN)Glass articles and methods for making the articles are provided. The glass articles are comprised of microscopic glass particles bound together to form an interconnected porous network within the articles. The porous interconnected network of fused glass particles provides an apparent porosity to the article, and thereby the ability to deliver water uniformly throughout the glass article via capillary forces.
