Abstract:
A voltage detection unit (10) comprises an AD converter unit (13) for outputting the AD detection voltage value (Vad) of a battery (2[i]) and a voltage level determination unit (16[i]) for outputting a level determination signal that is the comparison results between the analog voltage signal of the battery (2[i]) and a plurality of reference voltages. In a process in which the battery voltage increases or decreases, when the analog voltage signal of the battery (2[i]) exceeds or becomes less than any of the reference voltages, the level determination signal changes. At this change timing, the determination voltage value indicated by the level determination signal and the AD detection voltage value (Vad) are compared and when there is a difference between the two, the occurrence of an in-range failure is detected. When the occurrence of the in-range failure is detected, if the battery is in charge, by using the ratio and difference between the determination voltage value and the AD detection voltage value obtained at the above-described change timing, the AD detection voltage value is corrected so as to be increased and if the battery is in discharge, by using those ratio and difference, the AD detection voltage value is corrected so as to be decreased.
