Title: FUEL CELL SYSTEM
Abstract:
Disclosed is a fuel cell system in which the deterioration in the activity of a catalyst can be prevented. The fuel cell system is characterized by comprising: a memory means for storing an initial value for the ratio of the surface area of a part of the surface of each of core-shell-type catalyst microparticles which is occupied by a core metal material to the whole surface area of each of the core-shell-type catalyst microparticles, wherein each of the core-shell-type catalyst microparticles comprises a core part comprising the core metal material and a shell part covering the core part and comprising a shell metal material and the core-shell-type catalyst microparticles are contained in at least either an anode catalyst layer and a cathode catalyst layer; and a determination means for determining whether or not the ratio of the surface area of a part of each of the core-shell-type catalyst microparticles which is occupied by the core metal material to the whole surface area of each of the core-shell-type catalyst microparticles is increased compared with the initial value in a predetermined stage.
