(EN)The invention provides a process for the production of ferrous sulphate monohydrate which comprises: (a) reacting a source of iron with an aqueous solution of sulphuric acid in at least a first reaction vessel, to obtain a process liquor comprising ferrous sulphate and acid solution; and then(b) combining the process liquor with concentrated sulphuric acid in a mixing vessel, causing the solution to self crystallize, thus forming a slurry comprising crystalline ferrous sulfate monohydrate. The slurry can, if desired, then be converted to ferric sulphate.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de monohydrate de sulfate ferreux comprenant les étapes consistant (a) à faire réagir une source de fer avec une solution aqueuse d'acide sulfurique dans au moins un premier réacteur, afin d'obtenir une solution contenant du sulfate ferreux et une solution acide; puis (b) à mélanger la solution obtenue avec de l'acide sulfurique concentré dans un réacteur de mélange, ce qui entraîne l'auto-cristallisation de la solution et donne une suspension contenant du monohydrate de sulfate ferreux cristallin. La suspension peut, si nécessaire, être convertie en sulfate ferrique.
