(EN)Disclosed is a broadcast receiving circuit comprising: a first layer broadcast multi-programme channel information extraction section (60) that extracts first multi-programme channel information; a second layer broadcast multi-programme channel information extraction section (70) that extracts second multi-programme channel information; a simultaneous broadcast decision section (80) that decides, by using the first multi-programme channel information that has been extracted and the second multi-programme channel information that has been extracted, whether or not any of the services from among a plurality of services included in a first layer broadcast and any of the services from among a plurality of services included in a second layer broadcast are appropriate for simultaneous broadcast; and a viewing changeover control section (100) that, in accordance with the result of said decision, outputs a single service from among the plurality of services included in the first layer broadcast and the plurality of services included in the second layer broadcast.
